Welcome to Refexology  – Julie-Marie Lloyd (A.O.R)
I am a professionally qualified Reflexologist and accredited to the Association of Reflexologists.
After personally experiencing the positive effects of reflexology and following a career change I retrained and qualified as a Reflexologist (AOR).
I have extensive knowledge and experience within holistic field of medicine (I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist/Psychotherapist/Reiki practitioner). I have worked in NHS and Private healthcare.
What is it ?
Reflexology is an ancient art of massage using pressure techniques applied to the feet.
It is a holistic therapy and affects the mind, emotional and physical  body with the object of inducing a state of balance. It encourages the body to relax and balance and a relaxed body can heal itself.
How can it help ?
The effects of reflexology are:
  • im proves circulation
  • Removes waste deposit from feet
  • Strengthens immune and hormone systems
  • Cleanses body of toxins and impurities
  • Reduces tension
  • Increases energy flow
  • Induces relaxation of mind and body
  • Helps with pain relief
Who can benefit ?
People of any age or sex can benefit – the elderly, women during pregnancy, teenagers, children and babies all derive positive benefits from reflexology.
What conditions can reflexology help with ?
It can aid relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions for example: back pain, migraine, fatigue, insomnia, depression, anxiety, weight control, allergies, circulatory problems, arthritis, sciatica, skin disorders, asthma, blood pressure, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, digestive problems and it has been found to be effective with pain relief.
What happens when you go for a treatment ?
During the first reflexology session there is a longer consultation (usually 1 hour) on the presenting issues and any problem areas on the feet will be noted. The following sessions normally lasts 45 minutes.
The length of the course varies according to individual needs and this will be discussed at the first session. Reflexology can also act as a preventative treatment and regular treatments will maintain health and well-being.
